While admittedly not on the scale of refurbishing the Sistine Chapel, the recently completed painting of St Martin’s chancel, nave and adjacent Fellowship Hall has given these quarters a bright, fresh and welcoming glow. The paint project to date was ably co-ordinated by Tony Heacock. Tony served as Master Painter standing atop some twenty foot high scaffolding to complete the job in record time and extends his appreciation and thanks to all who donated in kind and in person to these key stages of the project.
Now if other commitments pre-empted your being part of St Martin’s paint brigade, another opportunity to participate awaits your involvement. NEXT area to be tackled on the paint-a-rama schedule is the vast Parish Hall with its high ceiling.
