The fall Bible Study lead by Father John Organ concluded its 12 week Tuesday evening session on November 29th. Over the twelve weeks partcipants had an opportunity to sit in on an examination of the Hebrew Testament conducted by Yale Professor, Christine Hayes, a pre-eminent scholar specializing in Talmudic-midrashic studies. Using a wide range of methodologies Professor Hayes places a special emphasis on the Bible against the backdrop of its historical and cultural setting in the ancient near east.
